Rambling Session - Plowing Snow (01/07/2024)

Happy Sunday!

So today I finally tried smoking again after being sick for the last week or so. I can definitely say that my palate isn’t back to normal, but I did enjoy having a cigar again!

I went with a Powstanie Broadleaf Robusto. I had been thinking about that cigar right around the time I got sick, so it seemed fitting to smoke it. I love this blend. It’s dark, robust, and flavorful, but not overpowering or a strength bomb. Just an all around great Broadleaf blend!

So in other news, we got some snow Saturday. We got a good 5-6 inches throughout the day, followed by some rain and sleet in the evening. When I got up this morning, the rain and sleet had compact the snow down to like 3-4ish inches of heavy, wet slush. After some sun today plenty started melting off. We’ll be stuck with plenty of mud here in a couple days.

Since it was melting off so quickly, I didn’t bother plowing. We have a decent driveway and I didn’t feel it was worth getting the tractor out to do it. Then we ran an errand today and I saw that I was the only one on our road apparently that felt that way…

What’s something you don’t usually do that your neighbors do and then you feel like the odd house out? Spray dandelions, blow snow, put Christmas lights up, etc.

Take care.
