Rambling Session - Heat/Celtics (04/25/2024)

This morning I went with a Stolen Throne Cigars Crook of the Crown Robusto. This is a robust, bold smoke that I do enjoy, however, I go against the grain with this one and put it at the bottom of the Stolen Throne offerings. Public opinion and my sales number definitely do not agree with that assessment, but it is my opinion.

When it comes to Stolen Throne, I think my lineup is Call to Arms, 3 Kingdoms, Yorktown Fleet, and then Crook of the Crown. My sales numbers suggest the exact opposite…

I don’t really have anything on my mind today so I am going to just talk basketball. Last night the Heat beat the Celtics by 10 in game 2 of their series. I have the C’s winning in 6, so this really isn’t a surprising loss. Even without Jimmy Butler the Heat have talent, grit, and the best coach in the league. Not to mention these Celtics - Heat matchups are always a toss up.

The Heat just went off last night from three (23/43) and set a new franchise playoff three point record. They made 11 more threes than the Celtics (both teams made 37 from the field). Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum combined for 61 points on 23 field goals, but the crazy part is, they made 17 2 point field goals while the whole Heat squad only  made 14.

Caleb Martin went off again. I guess the Celtics bring the best out in them.

The biggest disappointment was Kristaps. He was irrelevant besides some decent defensive plays that were inconsequential. 1 for 9 from the field is not going to cut it from him. He is going to be a huge component to the Celtics making a run at the championship. I also have to give Jrue and White some flak. They are super critical and also need to be doing something on the offensive end. I think they often get off without any blame when they underperform offensively.

Anyhow, it’s one game and they still managed to only lose by 10 in a historic Heat offensive game. Hopefully they come back firing in game 3.

Take care,

-Trevor
